  • One dose of seroquel turned an episode of hypomania/ anxiety into full blown mania and psychosis and it did it within minutes of taking it. It felt as if my soul was being torn out of my brain, the only way i can describe it. Absolute fear and dread, and visually all was in a mist .I asked the doctor and pharmacist about side effects before taking it, neither warned me of this effect. I was kneeling pleading with my wife to call the doc, who merely advised , wait til it wears off.

  • @Hompeystib Yeah, I hear you, it was a terrifying experience for me going through the same kind of thing.

  • you know Seroquel takes months for the full effect to set in? How can you say its the Seroquels fault after one day?

Why do you try to ruin for all the people that can and have good results with this medication?

Listen to your doctor and stop being a hippocrate.

  • @Vulcanicer How am I ruining anything for anyone? My videos are documenting my own experience. Other people can do whatever they want, it has nothing to do with me. If you don't like what I have to say, do not come to my channel.

  • DONT TAKE THESE EFFIN MEDS IN THE FIRST PLACE THEY FUCK YOU UP ROYALLY; COMMON SENSE:

DEAL WITH YOUR PROBLEMS IN OTHER WAYS ; DO SPORTS THE BEST ANTI DEPRESSANT IN THE WORLD IS DOPAMINE

  • @poosaypirate I disagree. I am a believer in medication. It has absolutely nothing to do with "dealing with problems." My bipolar symptoms many times arise when everything is going fine in my life and there is no correlation with anything happening in my life with the symptoms I experience. So, sorry, but that is just an ignorant comment right there.

  • @Vulcanicer this is her personal experience and she's been kind enough to let us in.......... hippocrate, i think you meant to spell hypocrite?? Seroquel has been an amazing drug for myself doesn't mean it should work for others. You wouldn't give nuts to a person allergic to nuts now?

  • we have alot in common

  • @BipolarStateofBeing ...then my speech slurred and it knocked me out for 12 hours. I know 2 guys who have taken it. 1 bplr who had similar effect, spoke to him & that helped alot. & another who responded well & had no problem. I went from pacing , which is what I do in hypo to Mars. This blog helping me alot btw. Trying to self educate as suggested by psych nurse.Lithium worked for last 12 months, but recent hypo quite bad. Difficult to see the hypo til i'm already in it.

  • seroquel made everything seem like a dream. i heard evil laughter from people, and too nice of talk from people. it made my hallucinations come back again too. this happened the day after i took them. ive been on risperidol for about 9 months and im trying to get off of it myself. im pretty much stuck right now, i dont know which is worse, taking them or not taking them. i feel better off of them, but i take it every so often to keep my neurotransmitters at a normal level.

  • Sissy,.. try mine at 15mg haldol plus 40mg valium..

Quit complaining, things can always be worse,

I really do hope things work out for you x

  • @poet79ful I would suggest seeing a psychiatrist. A regular doctor isn't really qualified to diagnose mental illnesses or prescribe treatment for them.

  • @poet79ful yes, i have but it was not sex related... i did all kids of crazy thinggs,ie. walking down the road at 2 am in the morning, almost getting smashed buy an 18 wheeler, writing bizarre emails, staying uo late listening to music, and yhe list goes on...i have alot of guilt for the things ive said and done because it was out of my character. i too keep reliving it and its tormenting.
