The creator is a genius because he can make a manga about manga artist interesting and suspenseful.

Actually, I started with the manga first. The manga was one of the coolest pieces of art I've ever had the pleasure of reading. When I first heard there was an anime coming, I was excited. It wasn't exactly a disappointment, it's very much what you would expect from a Bakuman anime. But it's very difficult to translate this into anime form.

I didn't like this anime too much... Don't rip me apart now, I loved the manga. But as an anime, there was just too little stuff happening. The plot and the events overall were too complex to explain briefly, which lead to dull explanations that lasted for far too long. In the manga, you had all the time in the world to read the stuff about how things worked, in the anime there's not. While I will watch the most memorable scenes from the manga, I will not watch the whole anime.
