hours which is absolute crap....gonna call tomorrow about higher frequency or higher dose....when i was in the hospital i told them i have a high tolernace to opiates so they gave me double dose of fentanyl IV which made life amazing till about an hour after i left...my scabs are already quite white too. promethazine cream doesnt help with sleep or nausea at all, and the numbing lolipops i paid 10 bucks each only numb my damn tounge. if anyone has advice about the swellin in my uvula i would

gosh yours looks so much nicer, just got mine out yesterday at 10am....its not 1 am ive gotten no sleep since the procedure. i have already eaten lots of popsicles and i have downed tons of water, also able to eat 2 bowls of thinned lukewarm mashed potatoes. the problem with mine is my uvula is so swollen its like half the size of my tounge so it hangs down either the front of my tounge, or into my throat which is kinda like snoring and hurts LOADS. all i have is 7.5 mg of liquid lortab every 3
is it true that everyone has to take it out at some point?
i mean mine are fine... i dont get it?

@paintggh No, it is not true that everyone has to have their tonsils out. Most people keep their tonsils for their whole lives.

oh man, I quess your nose bleeds?

@Ryantravisaol The nose bleed was caused by a different procedure that I had done at the same time.

I just had mine removed the day before yesterday, and yes it hurts when the morphine wears off. But with paracetamol and codine I can eat ok most of the time. I think drinking alot helps keep you throat from drying out and getting too painful but my neck bloody hurts! And apparently textured foods are good for getting rid of the white stuff and ice cream is bad:( It leaves a horrible film in your mouth making it hard to swallow. Glad I got them out though, they were a pain in the arse.

@orlande22 I wish someone had told me about the textured foods before the surgery. I've heard that a few times since. I suspect my recovery would have gone better if I had eaten rougher foods after a few days instead of sticking with jello and popsicles.
