This is the tutorial,in which you can learn how to configure your PCSX2 Sony Playstation Emulator on PC

1.Download PCSX2 Emulator( 0.9.6 version installer with plugins) -
http://pcsx2.net/

2.Download Playstation 2 BIOS - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=84YJM3I4

3.As shown on video, run the setup and install PCSX2 Emulator.

4.In your instalation directory, open folder Bios, and extract contents from downloaded PCSX2 BIOS WinRar/Zip in there.

5.(If you downloaded March 2010 plugins pack)Extract March 2010 plugin pack to your root instalation folder.(when asked:Do you want to overwrite'' select ,,Yes to all'' as on video)
EDIT:March 2010 plugins are not downloadable separatly anymore,at least on official pcsx2 site.Newest plugins are included in pcsx2 0.9.6 binary.

6.Start PCSX2 r-1888.exe and configure it as shown in video.(select BIOS for your region-America,Europe,Japan)

7.Leave plugins as they are,and if you want,go to Misc menu and deselect Enable console option.

8.And you are done, you can configure further in Confing menu(Graphic,Controller,Sound) to your liking.(Be carefull with Graphic tough,if you are running on slow or old pc,you won't be able to run games if you have set all settings on high,so try lowering them if you get any kind of that problem.)

Troubleshouting:
Recommended: (For reasonable performance in many games.)
AMD64 X2 or Intel Conroe E6600+ (Multi Threading is supported in PCSX2)
512-1024MB of RAM (more RAM allows for VM mode to be stable)
Pixel Shader 2.0 supporting card (recommended GeForce 6600-8800 or equivalent ATi card)

-Graphic plugins:
-As you can see every GsdX graphic plugin in March 2010 pack, has mark on it(on the end of the name) which looks like(SSE 2,SSE 3,SSE 4)
Now let me explain:

-SSE 2- Single Core Proccessor
-SSE 3- Dual Core Proccessor
-SSE 4- Quad Core Proccessor

-So,that means that for single core proccessors SSE 2 is usable, for Dual Core proccessors SSE 3 is usable, and, for Quad core proccessors SSE 4.

You shouldn't call it a Tutorial unless you give instructions.

There is a thing that plugs into a Microphone Jack. I'm not sure you know what it is, but it's cheaper to get than the computer you're using.

  • @freetard1337 Have you even bothered to read the description? Also, check the upload date, don't you think this video is kinda outdated anyway?

  • @TheWitcherZ It was only a year ago.

This is a Video, I shouldn't have to read. Why upload a video without relevant Audio? The way I see it is if you're not using a microphone, It's best to put up a free blog somewhere with screenshots and annotate them and write on your blog.Nobody is gonna watch a Movie Review with there just being clips of the movie in the video and the commentary on the movie will be in the description box. So, why do you think voiceless video tutorials are worth uploading?

  • @freetard1337 Do you even understand the definition of the word "tutorial"?It's a method of transferring knowledge,so where does it say that it must be voiced?

    >"It was only a year ago."

Do you even have a slightest idea how fast the emulators develop, especially pcsx2?

    >voiceless video tutorials aren't worth uploading"

So,going by your logic, all voiceless tutorial videos are worthless? Then again,by your logic, all videos, with titles only, are worthless as well.

  • @freetard1337 Also, you're speaking like this is the only voiceless tutorial on YouTube,so I quite don't understand why are you even bothering to comment on this specific "worthless" video, nevertheless, know that I don't care about your opinion a slightest bit,the video contains,or should I say contained (because IT IS outdated) all the required information,in the description yes,but the information was/is present.I would ask you now to quit trolling/flaming or whatever, and be on your way...

  • Intel i5 (1st gen) 2.53Ghz

    4.00 GB ram

    64-bit

    GeForce GT 420M

I've been trying to play MGS2 and MGS3 but the rendering for water is too much to handle. Is there a way to bypass that? Or will I have to wait a couple of years...? or just upgrade (or build a pc)...? Thank you.

  • @macro312 What do you mean by "too much to handle"?If the water glitches are the problem, you should try running in the software mode, because that issue is a well-known and common one with Metal Gear Solid both 2 and 3,and this seems the only way of fixing it,but you may experience FPS drop. You PC is high above the requirements so hardware is not a problem, its the pcsx2 itself.

  • @TheWitcherZ You both got caught in a tard race imo, I agree with TheWitcherZ about how cryptic the message was but doesn't freetardleet have the right to be cryptic? Again we are watching his vid trying to learn a thing...

  • Next time make the screen bigger. If you're using Windows Movie Maker, which is what I use, after you click on publish, you change the size of the video I believe. For example I probably end up changing it to 1360x720 I believe not entirely sure. But hopefully taht gives you an idea on how to change it.

  • I find videos with voice more fascinating than ones without.

This video watch?v=Ras4E4N1S5E is more deserving of "The History of Video Games" than this video watch?v=9yn4JRsmyy4 because I felt like I learned something, it felt an educational video, the second felt like a school essay.

I don't mind you telling without showing because it's like if I asked my friend on skype what to do.

Video tutorials should be video with voice because it's a video!

  • @TheWitcherZ my point is this is a video sharing site with audio. If look for a video on how to bake a cake, I expect to hear instructions, not see a guy bake a cake without saying a word and reading the instructions.

I could easily do piano "tutorials" by playing a midi file and not know how to play.

By not using a microphone, it makes you look like a noob that doesn't know how to get it to work and why would I look for tech advice from a guy that can't even use a mic?
