  • Thank you. Wilhelmina, I had friends come over to watch the Oprah show when you helped share what CFIDS can do. I got sick in 1986 @ 14 years old. I look forward to a cure. HOPE, healing, JOY for us all. Thank you again for your efforts.

  • God be with you. I am very sick myself, and I understand what you are going through. I pray all the time for all of us that face chronic issues. You are loved.

  • I so hear you Wilhemina!!!! I think you have defined this illness perfectly. If I could reach through the internet and give you a big gentle hug - I WOULD!!! I am only 29 yrs old living with CFS, I was diagnosed just about 5 1/2 years ago, but I know now, that I've been dealing with CFS since my teens. Before I knew what CFS was and got diagnosed, I thought it was depression & anxiety that I had. Now I know it was the CFS all along.

  • Wilhemina------Thank you ! As mtns2beaches said, you expressed the cognitive problems so well.I think for most of us (hopefully)there are a few people we can just BE with and they don't mind playing charades. The rest of the time you can spend a days(or weeks) worth of energy trying to appear like your pre-illness self. Hand in there and God bless.

  • Wilhelmina,

God bless you for your strength and representation for all of us.

    With love and light,

    Georgia

  • This so describes me, the coping mechanism for the cognitive issues would amaze people if it were mapped out.

  • So beautifully expresses what it is like to have cognitive issues associated with CFS. Thank you Wilhelmina for stepping out for us.

  • My God, what a genius, beautiful woman. Thank you for helping so many people. This is tremendous, important work.

I too work very hard to raise awareness and hope. Keep going, we will make it!!!

    Sending Love...

  • Wilhelmina... You are always so articulate and well spoken. Thank you for being a face and voice for all of us suffering from this devastating illness.
