WWF Cymrus Climate Witness - Jerry Percy

JERRY Percy is the Chief Executive of the Welsh Federation of Fishermens Association (WFFA) and WWF-Cymrus second Climate Witness.
Jerry aged 55, has been an active commercial fisherman for most of his life and decided to become a Climate Witness to express and reflect the concerns that he and fellow Welsh fishermen have about climate change on marine life and the industry.
The WFFA represents the interest of fishermen on a pan Wales basis.
Jerry revealed that Welsh fishermen were reporting changes in species catch and more extreme weather which they thought were due to climate change.

WWF Cymru launched a Climate Witness programme earlier this year to capture the stories of people who are being affected by climate change. By demonstrating that climate change is already impacting on people in Wales we can show politicians that the time for positive action is here and now.

All Climate Witness stories are reviewed by a member of our Science Advisory Panel. This helps us ensure they are consistent with the latest science on human-induced climate change.
