Thanks for this amazing interview with Eliz. Hand. I think that it's incredible that you took her down into a root cellar. You were pushing her into an uncomfortable zone there. Writers surely spend too much time being interviewed. How can the interviewer get anything special from his subject? This method of taking Hand underground for her interview is an amazing approach to the interview. Generation Loss is a great book. Here she channels a world and convinces the reader of it's reality.

I am one of the few people who grew up with Liz, having gone to grade school with her, then going to high school, and even thinner thread of being at her home, knowing her brothers, sister and parents. Liz has always been intriguing, and she has been one of the people from my past whom I have admired.

She has spent so much time in the ethers and yet she is solid enough to bring it back to us. She has inspired me more than any other writer because her mind is so very deep and forcefully engaging. I would follow her words anywhere.

As soon as I found that Elizabeth had a new book out-I bought it. I love 'Generation Loss' She is one of my favorite authors.
