@nikepumps123 You don't have to forecheck, at all, ever. You can have all five of your guys collapse back to your own zone if you want. The team with the puck must advance the puck however. The flyers were in the wrong, it says so in the rules (rule 72).

In a case like this, there should be a delay of game penalty. I realize the fans who pay high prices to watch an event want to see people stand there. I say its got to be a discretion but there should be a penalty to stop crap like this happening.

@k00shball no such rule exists in hockey so the flyers are free to do as they please. A delay of game could be called, but it would be controversial. The flyers did this in tampa to show their fans that tampa's defence is an incredibly boring style of play. I support the Flyers because what they're doing is a strategy that's just as legitmate as tampa's, as both could be seen as a "defensive" strategy

For those that are supporting the Flyers, it is boring when people stand there. In basketball, the players have 10 seconds to get to half court. Think about how much more NBA games would be if they were allowed to just stand under their own hoop because "they didnt like the other team's defense".
