Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain By WILLIE NELSON (Cover)
"Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain" is a song written by songwriter Fred Rose. Originally performed by Roy Acuff, the song was later recorded by Willie Nelson as part of his 1975 album Red Headed Stranger. Both the song and album would become iconic in country music history, and jump start Nelson's success as a singer and recording artist. (He had thus far been primarily successful as a songwriter for other artists.) (Courtesy of wikipedia)

Lyrics:

In the twilight glow I see her
Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain
When we kissed goodbye and parted
I knew we'd never meet again
Love is like a dying ember
Only memories Remain
And through the ages I remember
Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain

someday when we meet up yonder
we'll stroll hand in hand again
and in the land that knows no parting
blue eyes crying in the rain

Tab/Chords: Available upon request.

Incomplete list of other artists who've recorded this song: Fred Rose, Roy Acuff, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley, Shania Twain, Eva Cassidy, Sheryl Crow, Charley Pride, Foster and Allen, Brandy Carlile, Hank Locklin, Jimmy Buckley, Jace Everett, Rocking Teens.

  • awesome! this is so cool...could u send me the tab/chords pls...thanks!!

  • @ThreeChordGuitar. Oh ! God, at the time I was foolish - crazy - enough to believe we could believe we had to "deal" with Willie NELSON at a younger age. I have been listening to your moving, unsettling rendition of my favourite song - and have been moved, unsettled. May you forgive me, buddy ! From France.

  • Very nice could you tell me strumming pattern please

  • @SuperCURIE So... which part of COVER don't you get? Deceptive? Nothing deceptive here. Just talent.

  • Nice Performance. Enjoyed it.

  • Awesome job man

  • @SuperCURIE No you are most likely the only one to think that he is being deceptive. If you read the title of this videa it clearly states that it's a "cover." A "Cover" , is a new performance or recording of a previously recorded, commercially released song or popular song. It can sometimes have a pejorative meaning implying that the original recording should be regarded as the definitive or "authentic" version, and all others merely lesser competitors, alternatives or tributes.

  • reminds me the young Roy Orbison

    well done

    very good

  • very very good, just keep posting and Justin Bieber won't be the only one discovered on youtube. Again an amazing job.
