I find it somewhat insulting that most of the people in this country recite the pledge without knowing where or when the "under god" became part of it. Under god was added June 14, 1954. No considerations were made to other beliefs because other beliefs weren't respected or acknowledged. It is such a shame that people think such beliefs are stupid. Imagine what this country could be if every single one of us believed in its greatness and strove with all we had to make it great. Imagine all of us working together on anything to make it better. I realize that this is only a fantastic dream, but after all we have been thru, what fool wood say that it is a bad dream and what fool would work to make it happen in whatever small way he or she is able.

@peterpeterification Don't be mean to Red Skelton lol! He just came from a much different era, one we are thankfully moving away from now. This was an era of the brave USA vs the evil USSR, and everything they did we had to do the opposite. They pressed to end religion, we pressed to solidify it. But Mr Skelton was a man of great charity, incredible talent, and a kind heart. I didn't mean to crap on him, just the stupid beliefs he held.
