  • So whats the best way to treat tap water?

  • hey C, the simplest is a dechlorinator. better than that is carbon filtered, and even better is De-Ionization and or Reverse Osmosis. it all depends on how pure and how much you want to pay.

  • COMO SIEMPRE ME GUSTO EL EPISODIO Y SIMPRE APRENDE UNO COSAS NIEVAS SALUDOS!!!! JIM

  • hey C, gracias

  • Hey Jim, as always I enjoyed the episode. I noticed you mentioned Cande's 1000 gallon reef tank job from episode 100. Any idea when part 2 for that video will be out? Thanks!

  • hey I, no idea. its a lack-of-money issue.

  • @MoneyMarcMes Another thing to think about in the way Cande conducts his water changes, is that he uses tap water. Many would call that a "no no". I know many that do this with no problems. If you treat the tap to eliminate the bad stuff, you are left with water and some minerals. The minerals are a good thing and in the case of a coral tank you would be adding free calcium and other needed minerals with the tap water. Coral tanks love that mineral deposit that collects in your shower.

  • @MoneyMarcMes There is allot of BS info that goes around the aquarium hobby. Most of this info is in favor of the companies selling all the products and equipment people have been told they need. Wonder why that is? Fact is, if you do some research that was not funded by companies trying to sell you there stuff, you might find that not all situations require all that crap. And you might also find that adding all sorts of stuff to your tank all the time can do more harm than good.

  • Those mini max carpet anemones are very cool :)

  • candy on drugs?
