  • As always, you made a great, easy-to-follow lesson. However, I think that when you were describing the "country-style picking" you should've used the proper name. It's called "Carter picking" and derives from the 1930's when Mother Maybelle Carter invented it playing with The Carter Family. This distinctive boom-chick rhythm helped to establish the guitar in popular music and should be recognized properly.
