A small ensemble from Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir sings Norman Hutchins' song "Get Ready For Your Miracle" (God is up to something...) at Yoshi's Jazz Club in Oakland, California on March 23, 2008. Director: Terrance Kelly, Soloist: Stev Schwartz. Orgen: Ben Heveroh, Synths: Louis Burrell, Drums: Miles Nathan (filling in for regular drummer Darien Gray of the soul-hop band DynamicLiveBand), Bass: David Belove.

Sorry for the heavily distorted audio - the auto-compression on my Flip recorder is not ideal for loud music.

For more information about Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir and Oakland Interfaith Youth Gospel Choir, including auditioning for these groups, please visit www.oigc.org. Oakland Interfaith was the first choir I was ever a part of, and it got me into music making, singing, and choir directing.

  • Wow, what a fantastic performance, though! I like the one part at a time, thing.

  • Good one! We gotta get a video of Cookie doing it, too.
