Marc Cohn - Bits and Pieces - Coffee Break Concert 1977 (Live) - Part 5

Marc's live appearance on the 'Coffee Break Concert' - a weekday concert/talk show on WMMS 101FM in Cleveland, OH - on July 6, 1977 are the earliest known recordings of his work. The songs he performed, which he did a day after his 18th birthday, are all original and have never appeared on any of his recordings (whether studio, live or single releases).

In this playlist I have included both the songs and the interview, as it gives the full flavor of Marc as an artist at that time. My personal favorites are 'Bits and Pieces' and 'Fine Lines' - I would love to hear studio versions of both, they are fantastic.




This audio proves that he has been writing soul searching music for a long, long time!
