If I lived in the USA you would have to fight me off with a stick to stop me working on something like this !!

I had the "pleasure" of changing an engine and nacelle on a B-29 back in the 1980's at the Bradley Air Museum. The aircraft had received minor damage when a tornado lifted it off the ground and carried it a short distance.
The new parts were obtained somewhere out west and were stenciled with the words, "Target Material".
My boys and I saw FIFI fly in for a Pratt & Whitney air show years ago. It was quite a thrill!

Just wondering? Did Jimmy Leeward ever fly in to check out these birds. Very sad such a fine guy is now gone, but at least he died doing what he loved and quickly at that. Great video guys! B29 is my favourite bomber..man I'd love to be here and chat aircraft all day, These old birds are worth every penny spent and the "guy's and gals who work on these planes I can't thank you guys enough for keeping such fine aviation history flying for future generations to enjoy.

Loved your video! Would have loved to have lended my expertise to the project (Instrument systems). Worked many, many hours on the old C-118A, "Liftmaster", airplane. Lots and lots of AC and DC instrument systems; some Autosyn Synchro sytems; also, Magnesyn systems; capactivite fuel quantity, et al. Would have been fun. Did you guys have to submit a load of 337's, through the FAA, to fly this plane? Hope not! How about any STC's? Again, hope not!

When I was a kid we heard large radials all the time. Now they are gone. Keep them flying, please!
