I could be wrong, but I believe gingers *are* the accumulation of a bunch of recessive traits. Recessive traits are not always bad, mind you. The natural selection pressure isn't strong nor specific enough to work against gingers though, so they're here to stay less a societal cleansing occurs a la Hitler.
