  • Been there since the beginning with you flash. I was a youngster that carried dj sparkles records to Rollertown in Bakersfield, Ca ( That's how i began to dj ). One Of the First records I owned was "planet earth" w/b side "earth rock" and I loved it. I bought every record that the future mc's put out from Eastside records and tapes. Your a definite pioneer flash. reply to this if you see it. Keep holding it down for the true old school flash!!

  • @djsimply ... GOD BLESS YOU DJ SIMPLY...IF IT WASN'T FOR CATS LIKE YOU...THE WEST COAST WOULD HAVE NEVER GOT ON THE MAP...THANKS FOR ALL YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS TO HIP HOP... AND THANKS "FOR THE SPINS" GIVE MY BEST TO DJ SPARKLE NEXT TIME YOU SEE HIM..IT'S BEEN ABOUT 25 YEARS...SINCE I LAST SAW HIM .....FLASH

  • GOTTA LOVE THA WEST COAST

  • Man i like old school hip hop

since i was 13 when i played gta san andreas that kinda introduced me to west coast hip hop

when i got interested in old school hip hop i wondered what was LA like back in the early 80's

i have to say that dj flash and every OG in the game are great

    simply great

    much love from Croatia

  • What about the Brother's Supreme.. K-Rock-G and Cito B??

  • I wish west coast can come back, it's like were not relavant no more. were becoming like old skool music

  • What a great video! All your posts should be mandatory reading for anyone who thinks they know the true history of Hip Hop! In 1983 I was in the Back Street Breakers in Escondido,Ca. back then. It always warms my heart when I see the West Coast History of rap get so recognition! California's greats in Hip Hop back then did not get the credit they deserved. Keep up the education to the masses DJ Flash!

  • My first 12 inch, I bought it when I was 13 years old! I Captain Rapp - Bad Times.

Still a great production and the lyrics are still up to date. Nothing ever changes.

The best west-coast hip hop record for me , must be Terminator by Kid Frost .

It was like magic , when something new arrived in Rhythm Import (Amsterdam).

    Nie docu!

  • I worked in that very building in 1983-84 doing graphics for Wolfman Jack! His son Todd hired me, and I remember the original Rock n Roll hall of fame being there.

They had a lot of old films of R&R legends.

    West coast y'all!

  • Hell yeah!!! World on wheels, radiotron!!!

I got all Rich cason 12 inches...2001 was the ultimate poppin cut back in the day!
