Horse snorting

Purdie (the one in the blue rug, the one without is Ellie) was spooked by something previously..we were out of the field on the track I think it was a pigeon flying but at the time it wasn't something that I paid attention too, when I had a horse running into and around me!
So I took her down the track where it had come from and she was petrified, kept charging back and running around me so I calmed her down got her to the bottom and walked back up again, still doing the same as well as rearing and being incredibly stressed and alert.. she kept making that noise to the ponies.. I let her back in the field she ran off and kept running around that area, started to calm down but still making the noise to the ponies..
I haven't heard this noise before (well she has used it before but I've never heard other horses use it) so I researched it, so I know now.. but I don't understand why she was communicating to the ponies in a separate field to her as they didn't see what happened and they didn't reflect her reactions.. they were just chilled.. so does anyone know why they were communicating by snorting?
Got a pretty good idea.. but just want some opinions..
Ponies snort at about- 0.27
Purdie snorts at about-1.15

P.s. She soon calmed down after this video (battery ran out).. oh and please don't listen to me I sound stupid and I'm rambling to my Dad about nonesense :)
