This is a 1966 WTVJ-Miami report by Ralph Renick on Francois "Papa Doc" Duvalier. This was the 8th year of his rule. Duvalier proclaimed himself president for life in Haiti. This report will feature a graphic view of Haiti and its people and will chart where the nation is headed. President Duvalier will appear in an extended interview.

the only difference is that in cuba every one there reads and haiti only about a 25 percent literacy rate exist

There is no difference in how Duvalier tries to justify his dictatorship and insists that there is democracy in Haiti under his regime and the way that Fidel Castro also tries to justify his dictatorship and family dynasty in Cuba.

he was very blunt at :34... "outstanding leader of the world".... this is what made him so strong, no one can ever duplicate the control he had over haiti. imagine some revolutionaries trying to overthrow him.... just too powerful
