Promotional video for the Stick and Rudder Flying Club in Waukegan, IL. If you're looking for a good place to flight train in Northern Illinois, this is it! Our staff of flight instructors are among the most experienced CFI's in the area, with thousands of hours of dual time! There is a full-time certified mechanic to keep the fleet in tip-top shape, and we have the most affordable rates in the area! The club is housed at the Waukegan Regional Airport, which is tower controlled, with runways large enough to accomodate a Boeing 757. It's a great place to learn!

@flyer116 He probably does the ATIS from time to time, though I've heard others doing ATIS as well. Most of my experience with him has been with the tower. As for the landing shots, I'm not really sure how they did them. I was given this DVD when I joined the club.

yea but u dont wanna keep one hand on the throttle the whole time either, pretty easy to change ur speed without even knowing it

I made my first landing in 66K, and also flew my first solo in it. Ugliest plane in the fleet now, but I still consider it my "Good Luck" plane.

so ur 1st flight was with 66k, a 172? or u solo'd with 66k for the 1st time

My first intro flight was actually with N240DM, out of Palwaukee(I'm sorry... Chicago Executive). However, my first landing (me at the controls, not the CFI) was in 66K. I also flew my first solo taxi-backs in 66K.
