Dustin Pedroia of the Boston Red Sox talks about his experience in developing his work ethic as a baseball player in high school and college. Pedroia: ""I grew up in Woodland California. I went to Woodland High School. I was big into sports there, you know, with my parents pushing me into playing sports and getting good grades and everything, so my high school coach was a huge influence on me, you know, setting my work ethic to becoming a good baseball player. It kind of carried over and stuck with me until today. Just like playing anywhere, if it's college or the major leagues, you obviously go out there and you play hard, and you play to win. High School was always the kind of thing where I wanted a college scholarship, so I worked real hard to get to that point to get a scholarship. I definitely have a lot of memories of people who helped me out and got me to where I am today.""
