It looked pretty much the same to me as well - I think that with special cameras people have made the moon look bigger that it actually is in photos - I might be wrong though...

Thank you very much for your kind words - it was a perfect unfolding really. We walked up to the top of the hill behind my house which is about 20 minutes away. The moon had not appeared nor could we see any sign of it. Just as we reached the top by the trig point (the highest point), the beautiful orb appeared. And so it thus unfolded...
