Why are old computers so much faster than new ones?

The mac OS was and is obviously programmed differently than Windows. Doing tests on "what shuts down faster" doesn't do the hardware justice. I'm sure if you installed the mac OS on that Dell it would shut down as fast, if not, faster than it did on the iMac. If you wanna make a video on whats faster, then do a Windows vs Mac OS

os 8.5 just turns off the power to every thing.

@BattlePikeQueenLucy It is, 90% of windows based laptops suck, unless it has Dual core's and your not a fag running multiple applications on start up that is.

Apple's computers are WAY better than the windows computers IMO. I like it how Mac OS X can't get viruses like Windows does

Though it is possible for a Mac to get a virus, it just is unlikely. But, as you remember, there was a virus a few months back on a illegal copy of iWork.
