You never seen Grave of the Fireflies? it's a brilliant, uniquely animated and powerful animated WWII drama about the horrors of WWII in Japan where Hiroshima was bombed and two orphan children flee the countryside wondering as they see suffering and need to get away from it all. It's a film guaranteed to make you cry and a film that captures the human spirit and one of the best films ever. Recommended.

Have you forgotten the original was a US/Japanese co-production? in fact Studio Ghibli who did Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Grave of the Fireflies, Castle in The Sky, Nausicaa, Ponyo and more co-did the original show's first seasons and some of the animators and some animation directors of the first season did some of those movies

The New Thunder Cats aren't meant to replace or surpass the old Thunder Cats, Its only meant to keep the franchise alive. The Thunder cats couldn't live on fans and TV Parodies forever.
