Doesn't matter if they were trying to have fun or not......this story was a very important and triumphant time for african americans..they certainly could have found a better way to introduce it to their class mates, and still make it fun. i agree to disagree. so, no need to debate with me about it.

That clearly isn't their point. They made this to teach kids in their school about the subject in a fun way that still stressed the importance of it.
