This is Lush's very last TV appearance, with a brief interview and a performance of Ladykillers and 500 (Shake Baby Shake). It was recorded the day after their show at the Fillmore.

the downside of heavy touring is burning out, while the upside is that the band gets ridiculously fluid and tight. despite the fact that they don't look overly happy to be in the TV studio, they *sound* really good, IMO.

One month after this show, Chris decides he's had enough and ends it all. From all accounts, these four are very likable people. God, what happened?! I gave the video five very important stars. I'm #270 on 8/22/09 at 2:07 AM CST.

@theflorgeormix No. The story I read back in '96 was that Chris Acklund hanged himself at his parents' house after not being able to pay the rent on his flat. He was despondent over his finances when the band should have been making some real money. All in all it tore the band apart, as they were all so close.

they were so nice that they kind of went along with everything as long as they had creative control...which they did...Chris probably didn't have much say with what went on - Miki strong personality...

Sod the lot of you haters...Miki gave her heart and soul to every little tv performance, every autograph seeker, every live show on the road 180 days a year for 6 years worldwide...she was one of the most gracious rockers ever..R I P LUSH

they do look burned out, at this point of their careers they probably needed to take a break from touring and just record, like what REM did before recording Out of Time, unfortunately it sadly ended with the death of Chris. RIP
