2008 Teretonga Park Classic Speed Fest - Invercargill, NZ - R8

In-car video from my 1969 BMW 2002 shipped to New Zealand from the United States for the 2008 Southern Festival of Speed. This was the last weekend of the series at Teretonga Park in Invercargill. The video was during Race 8 on Saturday, Feb. 16th.

The 1970 Ford Lotus Cortina was driven by Rob Halliday who was within a few meters of beating me at the finish (he was out of the frame on my left, but you can hear his car). The 1972 Vauxhall Firenza was driven by Dennis Etevenaux.

This was a great race and the track was one of my favorites in the series. Please rate my video if you like it.

Very enjoyable! Did the Firenza win? Or were the race leaders further ahead?

...no there were several cars out ahead of our little "scrum". In vintage racing there can be such a variety of cars in one group that there end up being many different "races within the race".
