I remember the night this was telecast back in the 1970's when they were unveiling the restored Hollywood Sign. It is wonderful to see it today and forever. Miss De Carlo's version is heads above the rest.....so sincere. What a beautiful lady. What a talented lady.

I had the great privilege of seeing and hearing your mother do this song on stage in Boston during the pre-Broadway tryouts. She was magnificent, as always! A very beautiful lady, the only one who could give Ava Gardner a run for her money! I also read her autobio, which I enjoyed very much. A fine lady! God bless her!

I have heard many versions of this and none matches Yvonne's. This was written especially for her, and knowing her history from glamour girl to Lily Munster makes the lines "First you're another sloe eyed vamp / Then someone's mother, then you're camp" so much more poignant.
