many factors,include lens quality,burn distance,focus,mw rating,color(=wavelengt).
all that factors toggether make the''burningf capability''.

@kopjesenseo and blue lasers have a smaller wavelength so they burn better.

blu laser from the same power works faster because the beam of a blu ray laser is smaller ,more energy on the same area and thats the power of a laser

i made a laser that could light candles from about 20m+ and at my mates Bday i kept on lighting the candles on his cake! they are not that hard to asemble but you need the tools. i broke my first laser and sold my second homemade 1. i am hoping to get a really nice new 1 soon. 300mw red burning laser!

Hardly anything now. Old DVD burners are plentiful and cheap. You can probably get them pre-assembled for under $50 that can burn stuff.

No. It was thermAte, not thermIte. Thermate is more powerful. You add proper quantities of barium nitrate and sulfur to a thermite mixture to make thermate. On my 4th of july video, you can watch the thermate rock being formed on the beach.
