I am humble enough to admit that I don't know why Jesus told his disciples to buy a sword, there are many theories as to why. But I know for a fact that it wasn't for the purpose of hurting others because Jesus told Peter to put away his sword when he used it and then Jesus healed the man, and he also told his disciples to turn the other cheek and love their enemies.

And when Jesus said he did not come to bring peace but a sword, he was talking about division among familes i.e ex Muslims being disowned or even killed by their own family. @SoldierOfChrist110 How about the verse in the new testament where Jesus tells his followers to sell everything they have and get a sword, or the verse that says I came not to bring peace. Subhan Allah! Jesus was a real prophet and unlike you, not a hypocrite. There are times for peace and times for war, all human civilizations experience this. At least when Muslims goto war, we have guidlines, not like hypocrite Christians who are supposed to love, yet kill indiscriminately!

Deception or lying is ONLY permitted in issues of battle or war, not in preaching and teaching the religion. It is illegal in Islam to lie about the religion to others, we are proud of it and have no shame. Islam does not command the killing of unbelievers, otherwise your ancestors would all be dead!
