@mike0662 Very true and i admire all the sports.These athlete should have the opportunity to show case thier abailiteis but it happens ppl get hurt.Just dont understand how ppl are so opposed of UFC.There would be no sports if they were gonna worry about the person/persons well being.Even nascar, car can crash and burn up.

@thegame2011able i agree boxing has been proved to be more dangerous,and football can be more dangerous at times too i know in football that the goal is not to knockout your opponents but some people still get hurt bad look what happened to Kevin Everett from the Buffalo Bills.

The chances of instant injury is way higher in MMA, but long term damage is clearly more prevalent in boxing. In MMA the ref will jump in at the slightest show of the opponent being unable to defend themselves, while in boxing a guys eye can be damn near falling out of his head and they let the fight continue.
Just compare the living veterans from both sports. Dan Severn, Randy Couture, Royce Gracie, all above 45 and all mentally stable. Now go talk to any boxer over 45 year old...
