According to the same paper who first showed the video, it now emerges that "Michael Gibbons, 65, today revealed the strange lights were flying lanterns released at his party, held to mark the renovation of his house."
Of course some of the recent sightings may well indeed be misidentified lanterns yet it seems ALL orb sightings are now explained as this.
I dont think this is the case with this footage however for anyone living in southampton a simple experiment would be to let some off outside the guys house around 9:30pm and film from the Thornhill estate where the original footage was shot.




The video features some amazing close up footage of a series of large translucent orbs travelling in pairs. The footage was taken on a housing estate called Thornhill in Southampton, England on the 25th June 2007 approx 9:30pm.
The footage was taken by Kevin Price and in a short interview with the
Southern Daily Echo newspaper, had this to say:
The video features some amazing close up footage of a series of large translucent orbs slowly travelling in pairs across the night sky. The footage was taken on a working class council estate called Thornhill in Southampton, England on the 25th June 2007 approx 9:30pm.
The footage was taken by Kevin Price and in a short interview with the
Southern Daily Echo newspaper, had this to say:
"They were moving in a perfectly straight line and were very smooth...I'm quite sceptical about UFOs but it was really strange - really weird."

This seems to have been a night of anomalous sky activity as this extract from the following UFOINFO report from Old Basford in Nottingham which took place around 5-6hrs later and 170 miles north suggests:

"It was hovering quite low above the roofs of houses and I could see the reflection from the lights as it reflected on the roofs. This was between the hours of 2am and 3am GMT...my son couldn't see the colour of the U.F.O. due to the brightness of the lights. The lights were round like little spotlights."

While you cannot convince the debunkers with facts or any quality of video, for the rest of us in the UK celebrating the 60th Anniversary of Maury Island and the Kenneth Arnold sighting which kick started modern ufology, this video is a clear sign that high weirdness is just around the corner.

Hi there people, I'm from Southampton and want to say 2 things...1 not all people in Southampton talk like that , they sound really stupid and thick! 2.. It was confirmed in the paper that a man was having a party letting off lanterns!! So that clears that up !

What this video shows is completely real. I've been looking at these videos for the last 2 days. Two nights ago i video taped the same thing. I was always skeptical until i saw what i saw. It looked just like this except there were 3 where i live in southern illinois. Listen folks there is no explanation and when you see this in person there is no question that your witnessing something not of this world. Changed my life forever.
