  • @tompw89 That ident you see at the start was the one provided to the ITV Network Centre as part of ITV's 1989 re-branding exercise. The other one you'll remember more with the white background and coloured letters was produced by Central themselves, who provided the Children's ITV service. It seems the Network one always had to be used for the first junction to signify the network "handing over" to the CITV contractor.

  • Alright, I'm curious: what's with the crazy generic-looking ident that appears in this and numerous other Tommy Boyd clips, even where the more familiar 90s logo appears in the same clips? Were they used at the same time for different reasons?

  • I really wish we could travel back in time to see great continuity like this. Oh and by the way, if you really want to know, Monday 23rd September 1991 is the date for this Children's ITV opening. :)

  • Brilliant continuity

  • Tommy Boyd is a legend!

  • Hi there MrTvboy2009 & thanks for uploading this video, as it's always good to see some ''CITV'' continuity nowadays and think back to those good old days of UK kids' TV.
