These videos are gonna be asuch a great help in the restoration of my 1965 GMC. It has a few panels that need to be replaced. I've painted a few cars in my garage in the past but have never had to replace rusted panels. A new wire feed welder in my future and now after seeing these videos, I think I can tackle the job. i just hope I don't make a major mistake. Your work is awesome! It gives poor bastards like me that can't afford to have a pro shop do the work, the hope of having a nice ride.

I've got a 66 galaxie 500 390ci. Got some rust in my gas door compartment. It's going to spread huh? Any advise?

Probably what you have is surface rust. This is common, because when it rains or when you wash your car the water will settle in the door pocket. The best thing to do is clean it off with a good peice of 80 grit sand paper, go back with some RED scotch brite and clean it up really good. Then wash it area off with VINAGER... Yeah thats right, vinager.. Make sure you don't get this all over your car, it will fade the paint. Let the vinager set for several minutes, then touch it up with paint. PETE
