With American Pad & Paper (Ampad), Mitt Romney and his partners took a small but successful paper products business and merged it with other companies in the industry, piling up debt as they went. Ultimately, the company was unable to keep up with the interest payments on its debt and was forced into bankruptcy, but not before Romney and his partners were able to squeeze out more than $100 million for themselves.

I have tears in my eyes. As the child of parents that worked in textiles, I know the pain that these folks went through and looks like they still feel. I will be voting for President Obama in November because I know he cares about the poor and middle class . He just wants things to be fair.

This is so true and very sad. The people that are voting for Mitt don't really care about his record. They just do what they are told to do.

Mitt Romney does'nt care about the middle and lower class he was born rich. he doesn't know anything about being poor and struggling. so you think he's gonna help the middle class nope. he's only gonna help the rich. by giving them tax cuts. and over taxing the middle class.

Everybody should go watch When Mitt Romney Came to Town, it goes more in depth than this. I live in Marion, Indiana and that plant closing really hurt this town.

This is why I sent back the pre-paid Romney campaign contribution envelopes with some of the piggybacked contents inside, where I wrote in a blank area "I'm voting for Obama, I still have faith in him."

i think you've got the wrong attitude. even the greediest of companies knows it has to have employees of some sort in order to function. but a company that benefits from outsourcing jobs and bankrupting smaller businesses isnt something thats been around for very long. it is not the American Way. its something we've fought to prevent up until reaganomics 30 years ago. you understand it hasnt always been like this? its something we need to put an end to dont you think?

I feel the same way as you. I feel Romney does not care about the middle class or the poor in these hard time. We also need vote the Democrate back into congress as well and keep the senate. The last congress before 2010 really did a lot of work. This group in the house have not done anything to help create jobs. The President had a job bill and the Republicans in the house voted it down. I will never forget that. There would be many more jobs if the job bill had pass.

Most companies don't exist solely to suck money out of a business and let it die. That's the difference.
