Went to every town around the lake and have to say the best is Malcesine, it is beautiful and there is so much to do there. Would recommend that place to be near if your going on holiday there.

Beautiful place. I spend there few months (buisnes trip) in 2007 mostly in Salo and Gardone. Out of season - better because not crowd :-). It was great time.

We have stayed in Malcesine twice, & I really want to go back, its the best place we have ever stayed in!

i went to bardelino, it was soo nice, the ice cream was so good, if you like snickers you should try the snickers ice cream, i could only find it in once shop in the whole place! lol, there was also a market on at the time, i recommend you walk along the coast and it is so beautiful and such a nice walk, great watermelon too!
