  • How can the American people believe that they live in a democracy, when HALF A MILLION dollars is needed before any politician or party can represent the American people.Workers representatives can not stand to protect them

American workers need to have a Workers Socialist party.

  • Fine, if competition is so great, then we should have multi-party plurality elections and let the Socialist Party USA, Libertarian, and the Greens have a fair shot at representation in the government.

  • Its obvious now more than ever things DON'T WORK with a corporate Democrat & Republican party, people need a REAL CHOICE!

  • @nbm34 You need to be your own party and let your local legislatures pick the senators and presidents(electoral college), that's why it is there. We are a republic.

  • @RedNickD Bill Van Auken is perfectly sufficient. He's not appealing to petty-bourgeois pseudo-marxist radicals, he's appealing to the working class.

  • It is so hypocritical of Americans to help the disaster victims of Haiti, and yet deny any responsibility to the people of Iraq! The death toll is fast approaching one million, whereas Haiti is only around one hundred thousand (correct me if I am wrong on the port au prince numbers).

  • I'm just saying that he is a bit of a snob, or at least it seemed that way to me when I met him. I'm not saying he is a bad person, just a bit snobby and unprofessional. Which is why I think the SEP should pick somebody better than him. I'm sure there is someone within its ranks that fits the profile.

  • HIP HIP HURRAY , HIP HIP HURRAY !

  • the man knows trotsky and his policies.
