Korg SQ-10 plays the Korg MS-20

This is a Korg SQ-10 (analog sequencer) playing a 16-step sequence on a Korg MS-20. The first 8 steps (Channel A) only use VCO1. The other 8 (Channel B) only use VCO2. Channel C controls the HPF (per step). Also each 3rd and 11th step the some white noise is added via EG1 and VCA. The SQ-10 is synced with a Korg Triton (which is only used for a simple drum part) via a Doepfer MSY1.

Via a Doepfer MSY1. It converts MIDI CLOCK messages into 5V signals to trigger the SQ 10 sequencer steps.

Very nice! How did you separate the CV inputs for each oscillator?

One SQ-10 channel output is directed to "VCO 1+2 CV IN". The other channel output is directed to "VCO 2 CV IN". The last one overrules the first one, but only for VCO 2. This way both VCO's use different CV signals.

Heh. I guess that was a good deal. I want to say selling the sh-101 was bad idea but the korg legacy sounds ms-20 sounds really authentic especially with the controller.

I've owned a Roland Sh-101 for over 12 years but i eventually sold it to acquire the Korg Legacy Analog with the mini-usb-version of theMS-20.

Recently i discovered how to use my MS-20 as a vocoder or effect. Unfortunaltely this works only in standalone mode. ;-) So still some things are the same as the real thing.
