  • The megadrive is working perfectly again,so this vid is no longer needed, ill just leave it on for no particular reason

  • Okay, after a bit of websearching, this might be like a short between the power jack and the RF jack, i think it will be solved if i get a Composite/RGB cable that goes into the AV OUT jack

    hoping it will work =D

  • did you ever get this sorted?

  • @GameStarUK06 Yes, i plugged it in yesterday and it worked again, played it for 3 hours straight and it worked just fine :D

  • LOL it's almost funny when it starts going in timing almost. I'm guessing bad capacitor in the video system somewhere. Since you heard a poping noise. I mean if it was just a solder joint I would think it would have stopped working completely but I guess it could be. I'm not %100 sure really I would post the vid and question on sega-16.com that's where all the experts are!

  • @MN12BIRD

I opened it sometime ago and apart from a lot of dust, the caps were all bend, put them straight up,and it still happened, so

see all

  • My Mega Drive has gone down with muted sounds in some games, most notably Golden Axe & The Smurfs. It is at a nearby computer shop atm for repairs, but while on the job, they've found that the system can sometimes crash after long gameplay periods! I hope they can put it right... :(

They even said they'd compare how the games I loaned to them played on their MEGA PC to how they played on that MK1 Mega Drive o mine! :)

  • @GameStarUK06

    nope, its still happening

might be the power supply, as it [the power brick] buzzes if i put it into a wall outlet
