this is my rant about the creator of evangelion, hideaki anno. He hates the fans, but has decided to make more animation of his most popular creation.I don't care how talented you are supposed to be, you don't disrespect the fans. they kept Gainax in business.

one more thing. he's not a genius. Miyazaki is a genius. Osamu Tezuka is a genius. Koike Kazue is a genius. Rumiko Takahashi is a genius. He didn't create evangelion, he directed it, badly. This is why I don't like talking to anime fans.

first of all you wish you were stoned(i wasn't, but if i was this rant would have been 10 times better), 2nd, i stand by what i said. basically, you don't have the right to insult people who spent their money on evangelion crap. Or to the people who wasted all those weeks waiting to a conclusion to the story, and never really got a good ending. the fans are the alpha and the omega. He needs to realize that.

I think he loves alot of the fans. And he accomplished in making one of the greatest, if not the greatest expression of art ever created. And "Evangelion Rebuild" has the potential to surpass "Neon Genesis." He is not insulting the fans. He is giving so much more to us, and even more stories to the "Evangelion" franchise.

Well, it's not just horrors Shinji sees, it's just he acts oblivious to them and his responsibilities and he's a selfish emo kid who thinks his attention comes first. Most anime from GAINAX since EVA have been overrated as fuck. Especially FLCL. Fuck Anno. Sure I think people went overboard sending him death threats 10 years ago, but he deserves them now.

Um, he kind of did save anime before. In 1995 the anime industry was stagnating and Anno rejuvenated a dying industry. You look at the late 90's early 2000's and you see an explosion of quality anime titles. And almost all of them take some elements from Evangelion. You obviously also don't know how bad Otaku-ism is in Japan. Seriously, just look up hikkomori. It's pretty sick. Also, the word Otaku has a different, more negative connotation in Japan.
