  • It saddens me that the music industry has become so commercial and glossy to the point where a Diamond of an artist like Lalah Hathaway is not appreciated in the mainstream market. I am a professional musician and I absolutely love Lalah. She uses her voice in the same way an instrumentalist would...the texture...the colors...OMG! If you haven't bought every one of her CD's you are sleepin' big time! We almost don't even deserve Lalah in the US. Wake UP AMERICA!

  • Lalah's not a bigger star because people are too driven by booty-shaking videos and Urban radio is crap!!!

  • That's NOT E. Seats on drums!!! lololololol

  • utter perfection. she is music

  • i saw her KILL THIS on the Mo'Nique Show

  • Saw her literally channel her father during a performance in Sacramento, CA years ago. I could not believe what I was hearing coming out of her voice. There was stunned silence in the audience. I literally had goosebumps and the temperature was about 103 degrees at an outdoor venue! Had to check with my sister to make sure that she heard the same thing I did. She did. She said because of her love for Luther, this song will always be in her set list.

  • I totally agree with you Jaypfree~

  • U are absolutely right!!!

  • she has vocal skilz that surpasses most of the young singers today

  • Lalah H, what can you say about that?!

She is her own league all together

She hardly knew her dad becuase he died so young but lets face it..she learns more about him every day she sings! She is as gifted as he was and her sound and phrasing are UNIQUE!

  • i luv the drums!
