  • I love mechanical contraptions and figuring out how they work. :-)

  • Me too!!

  • So is that a roped hydraulic? If so what brand was the elevator and how old was it. Just curious.

  • Yeap, it was a roped hydraulic elevator! It was installed in 1987 by a local elevator company, but the manufacturer is Kleemann. At this video the cables had been already removed. According to the inspectors it was designed wrong from the beginning and that was the main reason of causing many problems.

  • Just viewed this video 2nd time since I commented last year. If the elevator system was designed incorrectly from the start sounds like over time the malfunctions or problems began to appear. This elevator installed over 20 years ago, however I wonder if the property owner(s) might be able to get monetary compensation from the manufacturer to offset the cost of replacement since their elevator was designed incorrectly from the start.

  • Unknown which name of those elevator is?

  • Considering how much elevators cost having to replace it due to be incorrectly

installed, having so many malfunctions. That is a lot of money to have to shell out.

  • ti les tora....

  • Facinating !
