There's actually no such species as 'golden macaws'. Did you mean blue and gold macaws? :)

Your harlequin is absolutely adorable! I am hoping to offer my home to a macaw some day after I have had more experience with birds. What would you recommend as the minimum cage size for these beauties? I have recently purchased a cage that is 24"deep x 36"wide x 66"tall... is that adequate?

thats what i wanted at first, but im only 13 and my mom wouldnt buy the bird for me at first, so i have to earn all the money myself..though she is getting me the cage for christmas..but anyway, im going to be getting a harlequin for a local bird store called Fancy Feathers Exotics birds in Blackwood NJ.
