I study performance at McGill University and my concentration is classical guitar. I have seen many concert guitarists, but none of them has inspired me as much as Dr. Afshar has ! Maybe because she is a woman playing guitar that well or maybe because we are both Persian ! But what I truly know is that, it is not in every life time that I meet such a great Soul ! and I am honored to have met her in this life time, she has had a huge influence on my music career...!

very soulfull..I heard this song when I was a child in Iran....tremolo part of this song reminds me of Barrios....I do have the transcription of this tune arranged by Dr. Afshar on Mel Bay..I'll try to learn it....Thanks.

@hapi44 Many non-Persian melodies are sung by Persians. Many popular Persian songs use scales and melodic contours that are not Persian. This is as Persian as some Persian disco and rap songs.

Actually this melody is Persian and I have heard it sung by famous Persian singers. Before you criticize, do your homework..
