Jul 15 - General Motors announced plans to cut $10 billion in costs and repair its balance sheet as the worst sales slump in a decade threatened its future.The beleaguered automaker plans to slash thousands of white-collar jobs, cut its dividend, seek new financing, and sell some of its assets in an attempt to prevent a slide into bankruptcy.Conway Gittens reports

I am a 21 year old american. And ive owned both Jap and US cars. And US Cars are at least 10 years behind the japs. This is coming from an auto tech. While i hope they dont dispeare. GM will go bankrupt sooner or later cuz the hole they dug. GM and Ford are not america. When u sale crappy stuff and dont listen to the people. Thats no longer american.
