T-38 Talon II, The Commitment Continues

A 1995 Northrop-Grumman production video titled, "T-38 Talon II, The Commitment Continues". The T-38 Talon is a twin-engine, high-altitude, supersonic jet trainer used in a variety of roles because of its design, economy of operations, ease of maintenance, high performance and exceptional safety record. It is used primarily by Air Education and Training Command for undergraduate pilot and pilot instructor training. Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration also use the T-38 in various roles.
The USAF Thunderbird Flight Demonstration Team also operated the T-38 Talon from 1974 to 1983.

why USAF not developed the F20?

The F-20 Tigershark was being developed as an export aircraft for American allies. Changes in American administration then resulting in the F-20 having to compete with other front line fighter aircraft. So that doomed the F-20 but promoted sales of the F-16 to American allies instead.
