Un grupo de sacerdotizas de Orisa Egbe del pueblo de osogbo en la casa del Agbongbon de este pueblo, famoso y reconocido babalawo Chief Fakayode Faniyi junto con Chief Aikulola el Gbawoniyi de osogbo quien es tambien una autoridad en este pueblo estan participando en las ofrendas que realizan las sacerdotizas de Egbe donde ellas recitan la poesia original de este orisa llamada Egbe pipe, durante en los meses de abril y mayo del 2008.

i meant to clarify. the full priesthood and its sacred objects did not survive in the DIASPORA orisa traditions. its very much alive and very strong in yorubaland in west africa.

yes. for some reason this essential complex deity did not survive as a full priesthood nor were its sacred objects. however, throughout much of the yoruba diaspora, something of the concept of them or memory did become hidden and reinterpretted into various other practices or even under the cloak of some other orisa. egbe is as important as egungun, iyaami, ori or any other concepts and deities in our religion worldwide.
