May 28th was Peg + Chris Mutty's wedding day. Vermont had just endured the wettest April and the wettest May in history, and the grounds at the Snow Farm Winery in South Hero were soaked.
The grass inside the 4 spired tent quickly turned to mud and the dancefloor was slathered in Vermont's finest as Peg + Chris began their first dance.
When his bride slid and fell onto her back in front of all her family and friends, Chris did the heroic and chivalrous thing and threw himself down without missing a beat and being the rugby player that he is, he rolled around on his back to make sure he was good and muddy too!
As the sax player said, "That was true love!" Kudos to Peg for being such a good sport and making the best of what could have been a disastrous turn of events!
"Safe at second!"
BTW - the snow angels photo was taken during Peg + Chris' engagemnet portrait session in Johnson, Vermont earlier this year.
