Hey Karl I've got the 058B also and love it. I've got it for about 25 years and it's been through all types of weather. I've used a silicon grease spray to restore the legs. I also use it on the grooves of my L series lens hoods, I apply it with a brush, on the hoods. Things operate much more easily and smoothly.
