NO "ECO"-TOWN Protest March HD

UPDATE - For those of you who don't know what is going on, 0&H is trying to get planning permision for 15,000 houses on greenfield land. Why? To help the environment? Of course not. They're doing it for money. These houses will NOT BE ECO. It has been tagged as eco so it can bypass planning laws, and avoid consultation. Eco-Towns will not be nice places to live, looking carfully at the plans, they are 97% on greenfield and will be mostly standard flats in order to fit as many people in as possible. Their are not jobs in the local area, everyone will have to commute and by car as there is no plans for rail services. THIS IS NOT ECO.

Just under 700 people from Marston, Lidlington and Brogborough protest against the Marston Vale "Eco"-Town, by marching down the A421.

When I first heard about this I was furious. How can people say no to saving the earth? Property development has to happen somewhere. But I guess, if they're only tagging it as eco to bypass standards, when the town is not eco at all, it may be OK to protest. But I'm still not happy.
